Artspace Basics is a foundational program designed for beginners and art enthusiasts who want to explore their creativity through hands-on learning. From pencil shading to portrait making, each class is crafted to nurture your artistic journey from the ground up.
This course introduces the fundamentals of pencil shading, focusing on light and shadow, texture, and gradients. Students will learn how to create depth and dimension using different grades of pencils, mastering techniques such as hatching, cross-hatching, and blending to bring drawings to life.
In the Water Color course, students explore the delicate and expressive nature of watercolor painting. Emphasis is placed on brush control, color mixing, layering, and various techniques like wet-on-wet and dry brush to create beautiful landscapes, florals, and abstract pieces.
This course teaches students how to work with vibrant and opaque poster colors, ideal for bold compositions and graphic illustrations. Learners will develop skills in flat coloring, gradient blending, and using poster colors effectively for design and decorative art.
Students in the Acrylic Painting course will discover the versatility of acrylic paints, experimenting with layering, texture, and color theory. The fast-drying nature of acrylics allows for dynamic and expressive artwork on canvas, paper, or mixed media surfaces.

In the Canvas Painting course, students take their creativity to larger formats, working on stretched canvas with various mediums. The course covers surface preparation, composition, and execution, allowing learners to develop finished artworks suitable for display.
This expressive course delves into the bold and dramatic world of charcoal. Students will learn about tone, contrast, and gesture drawing while working with sticks, pencils, and powdered charcoal to create moody and impactful black-and-white pieces.
The Portrait course guides students through the art of capturing human likeness and emotion. Focus areas include facial proportions, anatomy, expression, and shading techniques across different mediums such as pencil, charcoal, or paint.
